Abstract: The objectives of the study are: - To explore the hospital practices of using information systems and communication during process of healthcare delivery - To explore how hospital staff are receptive to the changes in their work due to the advances in IT and implementation of HMIS systems in the hospital - To explore problems of using HMIS systems and identify the support mechanism for the same The study was done in two hospitals. The hospitals were chosen based on their usage of HMIS. Since the study demanded relatively good experience of using HMIS systems, it was decided to understand the experience of staff with regard to same so that it was possible to know the extent the information systems helped the organisation to meet their goals and objectives. All the data obtained through Primary sources.
