Abstract: A comparative study of 50 dual earner and 50 single earner couples was chosen to bring out the differences in the changed roles. Variables such as household work, child care and decision making were identified to measure the change. As a consequence, the change in variables of self concept, marital quality, happiness, conflict and communication were tested. The effect of all these variables on job involvement was observed. Frequency tables with means, chi-square and t-test to cull out the differences. discriminant and regression analysis to measure the differences and contributions to job involvement were done.
