Abstract: The overall objective of the study is to explore and understand the expectations of nature of the changing profile employees and its relevance to and the personnel function. It tries to explain the nature of the profile and expectations of employees from two groups, one group of relatively young employees and other relatively older employees though both represent today's new educated worker. The study also focuses the discussion on how these changes in profile and expectations and their relationship affects the personnel practices and industrial relations.
