Abstract: The present study explores the Industrial relations practices in a manufacturing firm. Upon review of literature it is noted that Industrial relations is a complex concept encapsulating various frameworks of analysis and approaches to understanding it. The present study attempts to grasp the industrial relations scenario through various parameters that are Worker’s participation in management, safety provisions, training and development, Industrial dispute settlement mechanisms, grievance handling procedures, social security provisions and management style used. Finally, the study also brings out the key changes in the management of human resources of the firm that have taken place in the firm within a context of a series of policy reforms since the 1990s.
